TradeJournal respects your privacy and is designed to keep your trading journal information under your control.

This Privacy Policy explains how the TradeJournal Android application (“TradeJournal,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the App.

TradeJournal is a trading journal, record-keeping, analytics, and educational tool. It does not place trades, execute orders, connect directly to brokerage accounts, provide personalized investment advice, or guarantee trading results.

2. Privacy-First Design

TradeJournal is designed primarily as a local, on-device application.

Your journal information is stored on your device rather than in a TradeJournal-operated cloud account.

TradeJournal does not require you to create an online account in order to use the core journal features.

In the current version of the App:

• TradeJournal does not operate a cloud database containing your journal.

• TradeJournal does not automatically upload your trades to TradeJournal servers.

• TradeJournal does not request your broker password.

• TradeJournal does not request your broker trading PIN.

• TradeJournal does not request your brokerage OTP.

• TradeJournal does not connect directly to your brokerage account.

• TradeJournal does not sell your personal information.

• TradeJournal does not use your journal information for advertising.

• TradeJournal does not use your trades to build advertising profiles.

• TradeJournal does not include TradeJournal-operated behavioral advertising or tracking.

3. Information You May Enter Into TradeJournal

When using the App, you may voluntarily enter information such as:

• Your first name or preferred name.

• Country.

• Journal currency.

• Trading capital.

• Trading rules and risk limits.

• Stock, security, contract, or instrument symbols.

• Trade dates and times.

• Buy and sell information.

• Entry prices.

• Exit prices.

• Quantities.

• Stop-loss prices.

• Position sizes.

• Brokerage fees and charges.

• Broker name.

• Trading setup or strategy.

• Trade direction.

• Profit and loss information.

• Trading notes.

• Daily preparation notes.

• Daily debrief notes.

• Watchlists.

• Trading-rule observations.

• Custom trading patterns.

• Images that you voluntarily add to custom patterns.

• Other journal information you choose to enter.

This information is used by TradeJournal to provide journal functionality, calculations, statistics, risk analysis, historical records, and other features requested by you.

This information is intended to remain stored locally on your device unless you intentionally export or share it.

4. Broker Import Files

TradeJournal allows you to import supported trade-history or broker-report files.

Depending on the broker and format, these files may contain information such as:

• Broker name.

• Trading account identifiers contained in the file.

• Trade IDs.

• Order IDs.

• Security or contract symbols.

• Trade dates.

• Trade times.

• Buy or sell direction.

• Quantities.

• Prices.

• Brokerage fees.

• Currency.

• Asset class.

• Contract multiplier or lot size.

• Contract identifiers.

• Other trade-related fields included by the broker.

TradeJournal processes supported broker-import files on your device for the purpose of creating journal entries.

TradeJournal does not require you to provide:

• Brokerage usernames.

• Brokerage passwords.

• Trading PINs.

• One-time passwords or OTPs.

• API secrets.

• Brokerage authentication credentials.

You should never send brokerage passwords, PINs, OTPs, API secrets, or similar authentication information to TradeJournal support.

Supported Import Processing

The App may support dedicated or generic imports for certain broker-report formats.

Broker report formats may change over time. TradeJournal does not guarantee compatibility with every broker report, historical format, account type, asset type, or spreadsheet variation.

You are responsible for reviewing imported trades for accuracy before relying on the resulting journal analytics.

5. Journal Currency and Foreign-Currency Trades

TradeJournal uses a selected journal currency to display monetary amounts.

A journal is designed to use one primary journal currency.

Where a supported import contains an explicitly identified currency different from the selected journal currency, TradeJournal may reject or skip that row rather than automatically performing a foreign-exchange conversion.

TradeJournal does not represent such skipped trades as converted values.

TradeJournal should not be treated as a foreign-exchange accounting, tax-accounting, or brokerage reconciliation system.

6. Information Stored on Your Device

TradeJournal stores application information locally on your Android device.

Local information may include:

• Journal settings.

• Profile preferences.

• Trading capital.

• Trades.

• Imported trade records.

• Trading rules.

• Watchlists.

• Daily preparation records.

• Daily debrief records.

• Custom patterns.

• Custom pattern images.

• Analytics-related journal information.

• App preferences.

• Backup status information.

Because this information is stored locally, access to your unlocked device may potentially provide access to your TradeJournal data.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security on your device, including screen locks, biometric protection, operating-system updates, and other protections available through Android.

7. Data We Do Not Automatically Collect

The current version of TradeJournal is not designed to automatically collect and transmit the following information to TradeJournal:

• Your journal entries.

• Your complete trading history.

• Your broker-import files.

• Your brokerage account credentials.

• Your brokerage password.

• Your brokerage PIN.

• Your brokerage OTP.

• Your contacts.

• Your SMS messages.

• Your call history.

• Your microphone recordings.

• Your camera recordings.

• Your precise geographic location.

• Your approximate geographic location.

• Your advertising identifier.

• Your browsing history.

• Your photos or videos, except files or images you deliberately select for an App feature.

• Your installed-app list.

• Your financial-account login credentials.

TradeJournal does not intentionally collect these categories unless a future feature expressly requires them and this Privacy Policy is updated accordingly.

8. Device Permissions

TradeJournal aims to request only the minimum device capabilities necessary for its features.

Depending on the Android version and how the App is distributed, Android system interfaces may be used to allow you to:

• Select a broker file for import.

• Select a TradeJournal backup for restoration.

• Select an image for a custom pattern.

• Save an exported backup.

• Share an exported backup with another application.

• Open an email application to contact support.

• Open external links.

Selecting a file through the Android file picker does not give TradeJournal unrestricted access to all files on your device.

TradeJournal should not require broad storage access merely to import or export individual files.

9. Photos and Images

TradeJournal may allow you to voluntarily select an image for a custom trading pattern or similar journal feature.

Selected images are processed for the requested App function and may be resized or compressed before being stored with your local journal.

TradeJournal does not automatically scan your photo library.

TradeJournal does not upload these custom-pattern images to a TradeJournal server in the current version.

Removing the corresponding custom content or clearing the App's stored data may remove locally stored copies, subject to any backups you previously created.

10. Backups and Exports

TradeJournal allows you to create backups of your journal.

A backup may contain information stored in your journal, including:

• Profile settings.

• Trading capital.

• Trades.

• Imported trade information.

• Notes.

• Trading rules.

• Daily records.

• Custom patterns.

• Other journal information.

Backups should therefore be treated as private financial records.

When you export or share a backup, Android may allow you to choose another application or storage provider, such as:

• Your device storage.

• Google Drive.

• Email.

• Messaging applications.

• File-management applications.

• Other compatible applications.

Once you intentionally send or save a backup through another service, that service's privacy practices govern its handling of the file.

TradeJournal does not control third-party applications or storage services selected by you.

You are responsible for protecting exported backup files from unauthorized access.

11. Backup Responsibility

TradeJournal is designed as a local-first application.

Uninstalling the App, clearing App storage, resetting your device, losing your device, device failure, operating-system actions, or other storage events may result in loss of locally stored journal information.

You should maintain current backups outside the App if your trading records are important to you.

Creating a backup does not necessarily mean that TradeJournal retains a copy.

Unless a future feature expressly states otherwise, TradeJournal does not maintain a cloud copy of your journal for restoration.

12. Support Communications

If you contact us at support@tradejournal.in, we will receive the information that you voluntarily include in your communication.

This may include:

• Your email address.

• Your name if included.

• Your message.

• Screenshots you choose to attach.

• Files you voluntarily attach.

• Device or App details you voluntarily provide.

• Information necessary to understand your support request.

We use support communications to:

• Respond to your request.

• Investigate reported problems.

• Provide customer support.

• Improve TradeJournal.

• Address security or privacy concerns.

Do not send brokerage passwords, trading PINs, OTPs, API keys, recovery codes, or other brokerage authentication credentials to support.

Email services involved in sending or receiving a message may process information according to their own privacy policies.

13. Analytics

The current version of TradeJournal does not intentionally use a TradeJournal-operated third-party analytics SDK to track your journal activity across applications or websites.

TradeJournal does not use your trades for behavioral advertising.

If analytics or diagnostic services are added in a future release, this Privacy Policy and the applicable Google Play Data Safety disclosures will be updated before those practices are represented as part of the App.

14. Advertising

The current version of TradeJournal does not contain third-party advertising SDKs and does not use your journal information to serve personalized advertisements.

TradeJournal does not sell journal information to advertising companies.

If advertising is introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated as required before those practices apply.

15. Cookies and Web Tracking

TradeJournal is packaged as an Android application and is not intended to use cookies to track your activity across unrelated websites.

Some Android system components used to display local application content may have their own technical operation and diagnostic practices.

TradeJournal does not intentionally use such components to create an advertising profile or cross-site tracking profile about you.

16. Android System WebView

Parts of TradeJournal may use Android System WebView to display the App's bundled interface.

Android System WebView is a system component provided through the Android ecosystem.

Depending on your device configuration and Android settings, Google or the device platform may independently process limited technical diagnostic information related to Android System WebView.

Such system-level processing is controlled by the applicable platform provider and is not TradeJournal's collection of your trading journal.

TradeJournal does not intentionally load arbitrary third-party websites into a privileged journal WebView.

External links should be handled separately from the trusted local TradeJournal application interface.

17. Google Play

If you obtain TradeJournal through Google Play, Google may independently process information relating to:

• App installation.

• Purchases, where applicable.

• Play Store activity.

• Device compatibility.

• App crashes.

• Security.

• Usage and diagnostics.

• Other Google Play functionality.

Google's handling of that information is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policies.

TradeJournal does not control information collected independently by Google Play.

18. Third-Party Services

TradeJournal may interact with a third-party service only when you deliberately initiate an action, such as:

• Opening an external website.

• Sending an email.

• Sharing a backup.

• Saving a backup to cloud storage.

• Opening a file through Android's file picker.

Once information is intentionally transferred to a third-party application or service at your direction, that third party's privacy policy and terms apply.

TradeJournal is not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, or practices of third-party applications or services.

19. Sale of Personal Information

TradeJournal does not sell your personal information.

TradeJournal does not sell your trading history.

TradeJournal does not sell your journal entries.

TradeJournal does not sell broker-import information.

TradeJournal does not sell personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

20. Sharing of Information

Because the current TradeJournal journal is designed to operate locally, TradeJournal does not routinely receive your journal information and therefore does not routinely share it with third parties.

Information may leave your device when you expressly choose to perform an action such as:

• Exporting a backup.

• Sharing a backup.

• Sending information to support.

• Opening an external application or service.

We may also disclose information actually in our possession where reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law.

• Respond to a valid legal process.

• Protect the rights, safety, or security of TradeJournal, our users, or others.

• Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity.

This does not mean TradeJournal maintains a server-side copy of your local journal.

21. Data Retention

Locally Stored Journal Data

Journal information stored locally generally remains on your device until you:

• Delete specific records.

• Reset or clear the journal.

• Clear the App's data.

• Uninstall the App.

• Restore or replace the journal using an available App function.

• Otherwise remove the information through Android.

Copies may remain in backup files that you previously exported.

Deleting data from TradeJournal does not automatically delete copies you separately saved to Google Drive, email, file storage, or another third-party service.

Support Communications

Information you voluntarily send to support@tradejournal.in may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain appropriate support records, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, satisfy legal obligations, or protect our legitimate interests.

We do not intend to retain support information longer than reasonably necessary for those purposes.

22. Deleting Your Data

Because TradeJournal does not currently require a TradeJournal online account, there is no TradeJournal cloud account that must be deleted in order to stop using the App.

You may remove local information by using available deletion/reset functions within TradeJournal or through Android's App storage settings.

You may also uninstall TradeJournal.

Before clearing App data or uninstalling the App, create a backup if you want to preserve your journal.

Removing local App data does not remove backup files that you previously exported to another location.

If you previously sent information directly to TradeJournal support and wish to request deletion of that support information, contact:

We will evaluate the request subject to applicable legal, security, recordkeeping, and technical requirements.

23. Security

TradeJournal uses a local-first architecture intended to reduce unnecessary transmission of trading information.

However, no software, storage system, mobile device, or electronic communication method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of:

• Your Android device.

• Your screen lock.

• Your exported backups.

• Your email account.

• Any cloud-storage account used for backups.

• Any files you share with other applications.

You should keep Android and Android System WebView updated where updates are available.

You should download TradeJournal only from a source you trust.

24. Financial Information

TradeJournal may process trade-related financial records that you voluntarily enter or import.

TradeJournal does not require your bank-account password or brokerage login credentials.

The financial information stored in TradeJournal is used to provide journal and analytical functions on your device.

TradeJournal is not a bank, broker, exchange, investment adviser, tax adviser, portfolio custodian, or payment institution.

25. Investment and Trading Disclaimer

TradeJournal is provided for journal, record-keeping, analytical, and educational purposes.

Nothing in TradeJournal constitutes:

• Investment advice.

• Personalized financial advice.

• A recommendation to buy or sell a security.

• A solicitation to trade.

• Tax advice.

• Legal advice.

• Brokerage services.

• Investment management.

Trading and investing involve risk, including the potential loss of capital.

Calculations, imported records, risk estimates, statistics, charts, patterns, and other information should be independently verified where accuracy is important.

Broker exports and report formats can change, and imported records may require user review.

26. Children

TradeJournal is designed for individuals interested in financial-market journaling and is not directed to children.

We do not knowingly design TradeJournal to collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling.

If you believe a child has provided information directly to TradeJournal through a support communication, contact support@tradejournal.in.

27. International Users

TradeJournal may be used in different countries.

The App allows users to select supported countries and currencies for journal display and functionality.

Because the main journal is stored locally on the user's device, TradeJournal ordinarily does not transfer locally stored trading-journal information internationally to TradeJournal servers.

If you voluntarily contact TradeJournal support from outside India, information contained in your communication may be transmitted to and processed in locations necessary to provide email and support services.

28. European Economic Area and United Kingdom Users

Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar privacy laws apply to information that TradeJournal actually receives, you may have rights that can include:

• Access to personal information.

• Correction of inaccurate information.

• Deletion of information.

• Restriction of processing.

• Objection to certain processing.

• Data portability where applicable.

• Withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent.

• The right to complain to an appropriate supervisory authority.

Most journal information in the current App is stored only on your device and is not received by TradeJournal.

Therefore, the most direct method of exercising control over locally stored journal information is through the App and your Android device.

29. California and Other U.S. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether applicable legal thresholds are met, local privacy laws may provide rights relating to personal information.

TradeJournal does not sell personal information or share local journal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may need sufficient information to verify and process a legally applicable privacy request.

30. India Privacy Rights

TradeJournal operates from Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Where applicable Indian privacy or data-protection requirements apply to information actually processed by TradeJournal, we will handle such information in accordance with applicable legal obligations.

31. Automated Decision-Making

TradeJournal performs mathematical calculations and produces analytics based on information in your journal.

These calculations may include:

• Profit and loss.

• Win rates.

• Drawdowns.

• Trading streaks.

• Risk amounts.

• Position sizing.

• Rule compliance.

• Setup statistics.

• Trading-behavior analytics.

These functions are tools for your own review.

TradeJournal does not use your journal to make legally binding or similarly significant automated decisions about you.

TradeJournal does not automatically place trades based on its analytics.

32. Data Accuracy

You are responsible for reviewing information entered or imported into TradeJournal.

The accuracy of imported information depends partly on:

• The broker's report.

• The selected file.

• Column formats.

• Dates.

• Number formats.

• Currency.

• Contract information.

• Broker-report changes.

• User-entered information.

TradeJournal may reject, skip, or be unable to interpret unsupported or incomplete rows.

You should compare important records against your official brokerage statements.

33. Changes to the App's Data Practices

If a future version introduces features such as:

• Cloud synchronization.

• User accounts.

• Remote backups.

• Advertising.

• Third-party analytics.

• Crash-reporting services.

• Direct broker connections.

• Brokerage APIs.

• Payment processing.

• AI services that process journal information remotely.

• Server-side processing of trades.

we will update this Privacy Policy and applicable App disclosures to describe those practices.

Where required, additional notice or consent will be provided before collecting or using personal or sensitive information for a materially different purpose.

34. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when:

• TradeJournal features change.

• Our data-handling practices change.

• Security practices change.

• Applicable laws or regulations change.

• Google Play or Android requirements change.

• Clarification is necessary.

The updated policy will show a revised Last Updated date.

Material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate method where required.
